Job Posting: Advertising Sales Representative
The 27th Jewish Music Festival, March 1 – 4 and March 25, 2012, the leading festival of Jewish music in the U.S., seeks an Advertising Sales Representative. Festival events take place in Berkeley, Oakland and San Francisco; solicitation will focus on these geographical areas. Much of the solicitation can be done evenings and weekends from home or in the field. The work will take place in December, January, February, with some follow-up in March. The position involves contacting former advertisers for renewals, soliciting new advertisers by phone, in person, online, and / or postal mail.
Desired qualifications:
—Background in marketing and non-profit administration
—Intrepid, extroverted, persistant, entrepreneurial and organized personality
—Familiarity with Bay Area Commerce
—Passion for music and Jewish culture
Compensation is based on commission and commensurate with experience.
The position includes a pass to the 27th Jewish Music Festival. This year’s artists include several of the leading musicians on the international Jewish music scene, such as:
